EDU - Kala

Edu-Kala is a comprehensive manual that will provide a framework to enable a more interactive, learner-centric, activity-based model of teaching to students from underserved communities. It is a dynamic curriculum that is being formulated in correspondence to the NEP2020, for grades 1 to 8. However, it can be applicable to students from different levels, as well, due to its flexible nature. In due course of time, it will be expanded across different subjects, across grades.

Edu-Kala was formulated in order to provide a more practical approach to academics, for those students who lack quality education. It also aims for a more inclusive approach along with encouraging healthy competition, as the activities are simply just fun games delivering concepts. It tries to include an involvement of the sense organs making learning a sensory process, which is psychologically observed to enhance retention of the concepts. We have adopted our learnings from the past 5 years, having engaged with kids from different social settings, which makes the curriculum more apt and unique. We wish for as many students, teachers, tutors, and parents to make use of the manual and provide feedback for us to improve Edu-Kala accordingly.
